For those who are new, the WWHRA website is now complete, and can be viewed at www.wwhra.com. Please let us know what you think, and visit often for current information.

Halloween Decorating Contest
The WWHRA is again having a Halloween Decorating Contest, with prizes being awarded to the 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners. Judging will take place, at 7:00 p.m. on October 30, 2006, by the executive. The winner will be notified, and posted on the website.

Trick or Trunk
To save the children the walks up the long driveways, it has been suggested that residents’ hand out treats, to the ghosts and goblin, at the bottom of the driveways.

Green Space Development
In cooperation with HRM, and the Province of Nova Scotia, the W.H.R.A has completed the development of the park site on the corner of Hemlock Drive, and Winslow Drive. The tennis courts, baseketball court, playground, and running track are now complete and being enjoyed by all. Thank you to all who worked to make this park a reality.

Decorative Lighting
In cooperation with ASC, the W.H.R.A. has installed three (3) decorative lights within the boulevard, and has purchased an additional three (3) lights to be installed. When all of the lights have been installed, we will be working with the Municipality to have them energized.

Entrance Monument
Thank you for all of the positive feedback we are receiving on the entrance monument. We are very pleased with the results.

Doggy Do’s and Don’ts

It’s nice to see more and more people out walking with their dogs, but please remember; there is nothing worse than walking in doggy do. So, please don’t leave home without your doggy bag, or throw them in the ditches. Ditches carry storm water to natural water courses, and we don’t want to be responsible for polluting our brooks and lakes.

Volunteers/Goods Wanted
As a non-profit organization, the WWHRA is always looking for volunteers, and donations whether it be prizes for our events, or labour. If anyone is interested in volunteering or donating a prize for our Halloween, Christmas, or Canada Day party, please contact Margaret Shinners at 826-2697. All donations will be recognized at the event.

Canada Day Celebrations
The WWHRA would like to thank all the residents’ who assisted, and attended the Canada Day Celebrations, and give thanks to all our sponsors who donated items for the event.
